Cybertaxidermy

Miskowic caught himself a pretty big walleye out on the pond a few weeks back. Right around that same time Chris was taking pictures of his thumb and Miskowic accidentally got into the background. It was my job to correct this injustice for all to see.

Another example of better living through Photoshop.

  1. Wow! Nice bit of photoshopping! That particular fish is beautiful both in its coloration and shape. I just heard a piece on MPR about the continuing mess that's been made of the walleye fishery in Mille Lacs. It's now my understanding that if that fish was released it will either die of "hook mortality" aggravated by higher water temps OR end up in someone's net. Nice post!

  2. Thanks Eric!

I'm pretty proud of this one. You're right, he's a handsome fellow (The fish, not Miskowic). I've never spliced together an animal before, much less had to go find another animal to 'borrow' parts from.

Hmmm... Maybe I should have superimposed my head and claimed the fish for my own. The only drawback is that I would be stuck with Miskowic's scrawny body! (Just kidding, buddy, I'm only trying to badger you or Chris into commenting!)

I don't know about hook mortality, but if that fish had been a half inch longer it would have been a Miskowic-fatality... He prolly would have stuffed it or something, I dunno. Me no have the budget or cooperative spouse for that sort of thing. I would have let it go, only to end up in somebody's net... Or on the end of somebody's spear.
